1. Scope and provider

2. Nature of the service

US Gov Navigator is a privately operated directory that helps users find U.S. government offices and related public services (e.g. passport, driver license, state ID, Social Security, vehicle registration). The service is provided free of charge as an orientation aid. No contract for a specific content level is formed unless expressly agreed.

3. Not an official government website

We are not a U.S. federal, state, tribal, territorial, or local government agency and have no organizational affiliation with such agencies unless expressly stated. We do not accept, file, or process government applications on your behalf. Official filings, appointments, fees, and documents must be handled through the responsible agency or its official online systems, which we may only link to.

4. No warranty for directory content

We research contacts, hours, and process notes carefully, but completeness, accuracy, and currency are not guaranteed. Office addresses, phones, hours, fees, documents, and appointment rules can change without notice. Always verify on the official agency website before traveling or filing. Liability for damages from use or non-use of the information is excluded except in cases of intent or gross negligence (see § 8).

Search results and city × service pages are automated orientation aids, not legal advice and not a binding determination of jurisdiction.

6. External links

Links to .gov and other third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control their content, availability, or terms. The linked operator is solely responsible for those pages.

7. Intellectual property

Our own texts, layout, branding, and software are protected. Automated scraping or data-mining for commercial purposes requires our prior written consent, subject to mandatory statutory exceptions. Official government works remain with their respective rights holders; we do not claim ownership of agency names or seals.

8. User obligations

You must not use the site for unlawful purposes, disrupt its operation, bypass security, or overload it with abusive automated traffic.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence of essential duties, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damages. Otherwise liability for directory content and tool outputs is excluded, without prejudice to product liability law.

10. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change or discontinue features where reasonable.

11. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of habitual residence.
